Masonry Construction's Challenge
Each year, MASONRY CONSTRUCTION magazine hosts a series of challenges over the course of the World of Concrete. This outdoor competition is the place to see telehandlers in action, tenders in tough competition and bricklaying at its best. Competitors gear up all year long to show a huge cheering crowd that they are the champions. Event sponsorships provide advertisers the ability to enhance their industry leadership, increase company exposure and demonstrate equipment Anticipation builds as MASONRY CONSTRUCTION, World of Concrete and the sponsor work together to publicize these before and during the show.
Telehandler Skills Competition
The best telehandlers in the country compete and test their driving skills in the Telehandler Skills Contest. Held over three days, contestants navigate a course to bring masons their supplies. The Challenge is open to all certified telehandler operators registered to attend the World of Concrete.
BRICKLAYER 500®
Who is world's best bricklayer? Twenty teams-one bricklayer and one tender-compete to lay a double wythe, 26 foot wall in 60 minutes. This is the premier bricklaying competition in the world with winners from regional competitions from around the nation competing for the title of "World's Best Bricklayer". It is one of the most popular World of Concrete events.
Toughest Tender Competition
Held immediately preceding the BRICKLAYER 500®, mason tenders compete for the title of Toughest Tender. Awards will be given to the quickest Tender in a field of 20. These winners of regional competitions race to set up their work zones as a huge crowd cheers them on.
